The Arab Investment Company S.A.A. (“TAIC”)
TAIC is an Arab joint stock financial institution formed in July 1974: it is owned by 17 Arab states.
TAIC’s prime objective is to invest Arab funds to develop Arab resources in different economic sectors by initiating investment projects in different economic sectors, based on sound economic and commercial criteria, in a manner that would support and develop the Arab economy. To accomplish this objective, TAIC pursues its activities in two key sectors:
Equity Investments: TAIC has a highly diversified investment portfolio across different industrial sectors aimed at the national development plan of the host country that contributes to the integration of economic sectors, transfer of modern technology and the improved utilization of local resources.
Banking Services: Since February 1984, TAIC’s banking services are provided by the company’s branch in Bahrain which acts as a wholesale bank under license and supervision of Central Bank of Bahrain.
