Incorporated in July 2010 as a closed joint stock company, BECC is a joint alliance between the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (Ministry of Industry and Commerce ), Mumtalakat and Logistics Company, representing private investors who are members of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce.  BECC’s main objective is the development, management and operation of an exhibition and conference facility. 
 
The Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (“MICE”) industry has experienced substantial growth over the last decade.  MICE has generated in excess of US$8 billion for local economies in the GCC region alone (source ICCA); and Bahrain is well positioned to capture a share of the growing market. BECC will have an integral role in promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain as an attractive destination for MICE events.  The company’s first project is the development of a new conference and exhibition facility, encompassing  52,000sqm of convention and exhibition space, a four-star hotel and a lifestyle area.  This development is located in Sakhir, adjacent to the Bahrain International Circuit, and will be further expanded as the business develops.
