Established in 2008, @bahrain’s founding objective was to deliver on the wishes of HRH the Crown Prince, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, by creating a unique and sustainable entertainment and business district. @bahrain seeks to grow a sustainable future by developing long term synergies with the world class Bahrain International Circuit.
The unique combination of cafes and restaurants, leisure activities, hotels, events, exhibitions and conferences and a karting circuit will ensure that the @bahrain district operates with one common goal: that of building national capabilities and driving long term revenues.
The @bahrain framework is based on the following:
- Longevity: the ability to make decisions for long term business benefit;
- Variable owner operator models (joint venture agreements, owner/operator and landlord/tenant) to ensure that business needs are driven by profit generation; and
- Holistic sustainability: the DNA of both the company and the project @bahrain is to deliver commercially, socially and environmentally accepted solutions
