BFH is a holding company for Mumtalakat’s food-related and agribusiness assets. BFH holds direct stakes in several market leading companies providing staple food products in Bahrain. BFH wholly owns General Poultry Company, which is engaged primarily in the business of poultry farming and the production and sale of eggs to the local market. BFH also owns a 65% stake in publicly listed Bahrain Flour Mills Company, the local market leader for flour milling in Bahrain, and a 25% stake in Bahrain Livestock Company, the country’s major importer and distributor of Australian livestock.
