AMPTC was established in January 1973 and is headquartered in Kuwait. AMPTC was founded by member countries of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (“OAPEC”) in accordance with a decree of the Council of Oil Ministers of its Member States to provide outstanding quality and safe maritime transport services of hydrocarbon substances for the benefit of OAPEC and its members, as well as to trade independently in the international market.

AMPTC owns and operates a fleet of eleven vessels, being four crude oil tankers, four LPG carriers and three product carriers. The fleet has received approval from major oil companies and operates across the world, including the US.
