BAC is 100% owned by Mumtalakat. On the 17th January 2008, BAC formally took over responsibility for the operation and management of Bahrain International Airport (with Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs retaining the regulatory role).

BAC’s role is to improve the quality of Bahrain International Airport’s infrastructure and services, as well as to introduce dynamic procedural systems in order for it to reach world class standards and drive profitable growth. BAC strives to enhance the image of the airport, positioning it as a global player with progressive facilities and as an attractive destination in itself. Through the execution of value driven business plans, BAC is dedicated to enhancing its revenues to offer valuable investment opportunities, attract businesses and benefit its stakeholders.
